THE ROOT OF IT ALL From The Light That Finds Us series

A one-of-one, mixed-media artwork exploring the unseen foundations of identity—the histories, instincts, and inherited stories that continue to shape who we become.

Built through layers of Venetian plaster and sand, The Root of It All features an organic, dimensional surface embellished with crystal, mica, selenite, and freshwater pearl. Its natural materials evoke the depth and quiet structure of the earth, while reflective elements respond subtly to changing light.

At 18 × 24 inches, the work offers an intimate yet grounded presence and can be displayed independently or incorporated into a collected grouping.
