Moonset Into the Ocean is a meditation on grief — on the moments when the world feels heavy, quiet, and endless. Inspired by late-night walks along the shoreline, this piece reflects the sensation of moving in circles, unsure of where to go or how to keep going, yet still choosing to take one more step.

The moonlight that glistens across the bay becomes a reminder: even in the darkest hours, there is still a trace of light. There is still hope. There is still love.

Created with deep black Venetian plaster and a hand-cracked stone center, this work embodies the truth that even within the thick of loss, something luminous continues to live inside us. The light is not gone — it is simply waiting to be seen.
